"I was once a sinner" borrowing the words of one hymn writer (Redemption Hymnal, Appendix 51), but I came and received pardon which was freely given from my Lord. This was facilitated through an evangelical tract I received several years ago sent to my postal box from an unknown sender. I followed through the simple instructions or "Steps to Assurance" in Christ and I was saved. A new name was then instantly written down in glory for me in the Book of Life (Rev. 2:17)! Since that great, memorable Day, I have never remained the same. God's very hand of power and love has hitherto sustained and been upon me for good. Consequently, this remarkable, unique miracle of salvation experience in my life a few decades ago, coupled with the subsequent leading of the Holy Spirit to a divine call for service thereafter, has precipitated the recent birth of the Book of Life Evangelical Ministry (BOLEM). Thus, I have "something to declare" and that is sharing the gospel with perishing souls in all Nations of the World through the Book of Life Evangelical Ministry (BOLEM). The Word of God is replete with verses including (Phl.4:3b, Rev.20:11-15) confirming that there is a Book of Life in Heaven. It is the book where the name of those who are born again and have eternal life is written. But, if I may ask, would your name and mine be there? How can we be assured here and now? Many people are possibly conscious of the existence of this Book of Life as promised in the Bible but some are still not assured or certain of the possibility of ascertaining enrolment in it while yet here on earth but until we get to heaven. They argue that heaven alone knows those who will be saved. However, an anonymous quotation has identified three distinct categories of [people] in this regard: “Those who make things happen. Those who watch things happen. Those who wonder what happened”. It is the objective of this site, therefore, to dispel the dark cloud of doubt over the possibility of ascertaining here and now whether one’s name is written in this all-important book of God as evidenced in the Bible, provided, of course, it’s not ultimately removed by God on account of the sin of falling from grace only. Paul the Apostle confirmed the possibility of knowing ahead of time when he wrote in his final exhortations to the Philippians: “…..help those women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life” (Phl.4:3). Furthermore, concerning the claim by some that no one can be sure of having eternal life until we reach the great beyond, Jesus said in His Word: “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him Who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned he has crossed over from death to life” (John.5:24). John equally reechoed this truth when he declared in the Scripture thus: “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life….” (John 3:36a). Paul’s statement that: “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us” (2 Cor.1:10) does not negate or contradict the fact that one can be assured of one’s name being in the Book of Life as clearly indicated above in his letter to the Philippians (Phl.4:3b). Afterall, neither Paul nor his mentioned fellow workers had reached heaven before Paul made such a profound assertion. We intend to use this website to demonstrate through gospel tracts, monumental testimonies and prayer requests, Bible studies, songs, documentaries, videos and other relevant convincing powerful resources, the power of the riches of the grace of God to save, sustain and ultimately take elects home. Our Mission is to rescue the perishing (Luk.14:23) and our Vision is to go and make disciples of all nations (Matt.28:18f) in obedience to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. And our Motto is “…. Whose names are in the book of life” (Phl.4:3b). May we not belong to the category of people who simply watch things happen or wonder what happened. Instead, I pray that we shall make heaven by God’s amazing grace in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
